HCM City, French localities develop multi-faced cooperation

Ho Chi Minh City and French localities’ cooperation on economics, trade, investment, tourism, health and education has been developed and achieved practical benefits, according to Vietnam-France Friendship Association Chairman Duong Quang Trung.
The chairman made the statement at a get together marking the 219 th National Day of France (July 14) that was held in Ho Chi Minh City on July 11.
He said the first-ever French Week in Vietnam, held in Ho Chi Minh City in last April, was a vivid manifestation of the cooperation.
French consul general to Vietnam Gerald Boivineau highlighted the friendship and cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and French localities such as Rhone-Alpes region and Lyon city.
He said other localities of France are willing to cooperate with the city and other provinces of Vietnam .
France is an important partner of Vietnam in Europe on economic, commercial and investment cooperation as well as on official development assistance (ODA) provision.-
